Architect / Project Designer

Description
Droese Raney is accepting applications for an Architect / Project Designer. The ideal candidate would have interest in a wide range of project types and willing to learn about all aspects of design and construction. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals with strong design sensibilities and technical proficiency to aid in the growth of our design studio.


Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Architecture, Design or related discipline
  • ± 5 years of experiece in design, construction documents, and construction administration of commercial projects
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and visualization, Revit strongly preferred
  • Technical proficiency, attention to detail, and creative problem solving skills
  • Familiar with building codes and building practices
  • Effective verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work within a team
  • Highly self-motivated


Responsibilities
  • Design of projects on a variety of scales and typologies
  • Site analysis, preliminary design studies, and field measurements
  • Preparation of schematic design presentations & material boards
  • Translation of design concepts into construction documents
  • Collaboration on construction documents and construction administration (shop drawing review and RFIs)
  • Multi-tasking/time management skills, ability to work on several projects concurrently
  • Consultant coordination including landscape architects, lighting designers, MEP, civil, and structural engineers 
  • Client, contractor, and consultant interface
  • Code research and land use feasibility


Technical Skills
  • Revit/BIM Production, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel
